Annual conference of the NSERC – UQAT Industrial Chair on northern biodiversity in a mining context

The third annual conference of the NSERC - UQAT Industrial Chair on northern biodiversity in a mining context will take place on April 21 and 22. As for the 2020 edition, again due to the health context, the event will be held entirely online. Chair’s students will present their progress to date and some results of their work. Since the results start to be more available for many projects, this 3^rd edition will take place over a day and a half.

Partners of the Chair will also participate by presenting some of their activities. In addition, guest speakers will present research related to the themes addressed by the Chair. The annual conference is therefore an opportunity for partners and researchers to exchange, network and discuss on the links between scientific results and their application. It is intended for anyone interested by any of the Chair’s themes.

The mission of the Chair is to increase knowledge creation and dissemination regarding northern biodiversity in order to be able to develop strategies to reduce the impacts of development throughout the mine life cycle on northern biodiversity in the context of cumulative impacts including climate change.
