It is with great pride that UQAT's Val-d'Or campus hosted the 18th Edition of the Quebec Aboriginal Science Fair (QASF) from March 20 to 22, 2018,  an event organized in partnership with the Quebec Aboriginal Science and Engineering Association (QASEA). In total, 73 participants divided into 46 teams, representing 17 communities and 9 nations, attended this edition of the fair.

With "Science, A Real FasciNATION!" as its theme, this scientific competition brought together students from Grade 5 to Secondary 5. In total, 25 judges evaluated the young scientists' projects to determine winners in each category. Moreover, two teams from Kitigan Zibi will represent the region at the Canada-Wide Science Fair, which will take place in Ottawa from May 12 to 19, 2018. This powerful event was made possible by the involvement of many partners. Several well-known Aboriginal individuals also took part in the event, in particular during the closing gala. To watch the video recap featuring highlights of this 18th edition, click here.
