The student card is key to accessing student services and privileges at UQAT. Students are required to have a student card for access to library services on every UQAT campus and at every centre; student cards contains a library user number. Students must also show their card in order to access the computer labs. UQAT security staff may ask students to produce their card when on campus.
Full-time students will have one identification card (with photo) for the duration of their program of study: the card will be valid for either three or four years.
Part-time students will automatically receive a student card valid for one year, without photo. However, those who want a student identification card with photo may have their photo taken in Rouyn-Noranda or Val-d’Or. Identification cards for part-time students will be sent out in the mail or handed to students in person by staff at their centre, following the deadline for withdrawal from courses without refund (reimbursement).
Photo sessions will take place at the start of the academic session in Rouyn-Noranda, Amos and Val-d’Or. For more details, check for information available at each campus.
If a student card is lost, there is a $5.00 fee to obtain a replacement card, or to replace a card that becomes unusable.
