The First Peoples Services (FPS) team provides support to the entire student community on the Val-d'Or campus, but has also developed expertise in meeting the specific academic, personal and cultural needs of First Peoples at UQAT. The FPS is a complementary service to UQAT’s Student Community Services.
FPS offer a personalized welcome, in French and English, as well as pedagogical support tailored to the needs of Indigenous students, whose backgrounds and experiences are varied and who, in many cases, are returning to school.

An Indigenous Student Life Committee that organises networking activities to forge relationships and get together to discuss the realities of university and urban life.
An attentive ear and sound advice for students who are experiencing personal, family or other type of difficulties, with referral to appropriate resources, as needed.
The First Peoples lounge is a friendly place for discussion and study. Outside, TESABIDAN invites you to discover indigenous cultures through teaching, sharing and reconciliation.
